A light roast coffee that is not whimpy! Goes down just like ” the coffee shop coffee”. You can enjoy it morning, noon, or night! Alot cheaper than the coffe shop, and you can enjoy it whenever you crave a nice cup of coffee and don’t want the acidic and burnt taste of the BOLD ones!!

Original Donut Blend:
If you are a fan of light roast coffee this is a great blend!

Taste:
It has a delightful light roasted flavor that finishes with a mild bold taste. The coffee is very smooth from begging to end; even more so than the half-cafe and Kona blends.

Suggestions:
I suggest you use a 10oz serving size for this coffee otherwise it may lose flavor.

This blend tends to be better for people with sensitive digestive systems but still wont caffeinated coffee.

Comparing:
For comparison the doughnut shop coffee has a much bolder taste and a cinemin flavor. The doughnut shop coffee does not finish as smoothly.

Green Mouton half cafe tend to be sweeter while the Original Donut Blend has more of a bold flavor.

Tallys Kona blend is actually not a smoothing tasting as the Original Donut Blend.

Other Thoughts:
I am not normally a fan of Timothy’s coffees but they really did a great job with the Original Donut Blend. There is absolutely no bitter taste and gives you the roasted/smooth sensation you expect from a quality blend.

I first purchased Colavita oil a few years ago out of pure desperation and lucky. Ever have one of those days when nothing goes right? Well my wife and I were having one of those at the time. We had guests coming over for dinner, things were running late and as is our luck, we found we were completely out of olive oil. We use olive oil a lot, but it was an odd occurrence. Anyway, I rushed to a local grocery story…we were living in Virginia at the time, and being in a bit of a hurry, I grabbed the first can I came to. This happened to be Colavita. This was a very lucky break on my part.

Now I cannot look you in the eye and tell you that this oil in anyway is as good as some of the premium oils we have used in the past and still use. But what I can tell you is that for oil that is classified as a “grocery store oil,” this is very nice stuff. We still use it. Now there are certain considerations to be noted here. I have looked over some of the reviews and feel a need to have my little say.

First, any olive oil that is old will taste rancid and simply will not cook well. The same hold true for an oil that is not stored correctly. If you use a lot of olive oil in your cooking, then you should buy a lot. If you use it less often, then buying in bulk, or in a large amount is a sheer waste of money. This stuff will go bad on you quicker than you think. And for goodness sakes don’t store it in a clear container…that is not a good idea!

Secondly, I noted that Cook’s Illustrated recently proclaimed that “all supermarket brands” of olive oil where horrid. While there may be some truth to this on some level, I must admit when I saw this, the first thing that flashed through my mind was “Aaaah, snob patrol in action again, slamming it to the unwashed masses.” Personally I put about as much validity in this type of report as I did in the old Play B*y magazine article from back in the early 70s that proclaimed your kidneys and liver would drop out of place if you were a runner, and that you should stop running as it was bad for your health…yeah, like I trust my health to an article like that. Folks, you have to consider the source. Your top cooking publications are good, don’t take me wrong, but a big part of their appeal is to appeal to the bit of snob that is in all of us…they write stuff like this to sell their publication and the products featured there and to make you feel good about yourself when you make an outlandish purchase.

Anyway, we have found this Colavita oil to be quite adequate for most use. We do use it for cooking and it gives off a very nice nutty/earthy aroma. It is light enough to use on most of the salad dressings we make, and we do use it extensively in the various vinaigrette and herb soaks we concoct. I will say that we do not buy this in large quantities as you can purchase it in a very nice attractive little bottle of 17 ounces…Actually we buy it two bottles at a time, always using the older bottle first and then rotating.

This certainly in not the only oil we use, but for everyday use we find that the quality you are getting for the price simply cannot be beat. Not that I would ever do it, but I dare say that you could prepare a nice salad dressing with this product and tell your guests that you used some of the “really good and really expensive stuff,” and that 9 out of ten would buy off on that statement. Now don’t do this because if your luck is like mine, the first one you told that to would the that one in ten I am talking about…embarrassing!

This is good oil that will not take your last dollar to purchase. I recommend it highly. I am comparing it to like oils in this price range, so I am giving it five stars.

I’ll start off with the disclaimer that neither my husband nor I are any kind of trained chef, but we do have a decent idea of what tastes good (at least to us). This olive oil is much better than anything we’ve used before, which is generally bought at the grocery store. Since buying it, we have made some very yummy dressings and it’s great over pasta with fresh tomatoes, basil and cheese. It has a much lighter taste to it than what I’m used to as well as having a lovely nutty smell when it is heated. Lastly, we mostly decided on this product based on the price for the two tins and I think we ended up with a great item for not too much money!

I love the way this coffee is purchased, in bulk and much less expensive in the store. My local grocery stores did not sell this brand, so I decided to take a chance. Coffee People makes delicious coffee, I have purchased two kinds now, the donut shop, and now this Kona blend. This coffee is a delicious rich coffee, it has a hint of Starbucks roasting in this, so there is definately some rich notes in this blend. I love the pricing of this coffee, much less than buying locally, minimal packaging, and a delicious coffee, this is hard to beat.

coffee people bolds are the best buy for K cups as they are so bold/strong I can run them through twice for a 16 ounce travel mug to go in the morning. I just open up the Keurig and turn the pod around and push another 8 ounce water. Kona, Black Tiger, French Roast, Wake up Call, Jet Fuel, Organic and even the French Roast Decaf can’t be beat. Always smooth, no bitter after taste and perfect every time. I really don’t like a super strong cup of coffee, but the coffee people bolds are great as you can get super size cup and I feel I am getting my money worth from the pods

I have now started to order the 50 pack subscribe and save as i get more for my money and amazon always ships free, great deal, I am only paying about 30 cents a pod, that’s 30 cents for a 16 ounce of premium coffee.

The Coffee People K-Cup Extra Bold Kona Blend is a nice, bold, strong, full bodied delicious coffee without bitterness. My favorite coffee has always been Starbucks House Blend and to the best of my knowledge it is not available in k-cups. Therefore, I’ve always looked for something equal or close to it.
This coffee is giving me the flavor and taste I’ve been looking for. My wife and I both love it. If you like like a good strong, bold, full bodied coffee without bitterness you’ll love it too. I highly recommend it!

I enjoy this flavor of coffee everyday at work. This was the alternative I chose to Dark Magic, which is also a good brew. Often many coffee flavors tend to taste different over time, usually more acidic than I would care for. But this is a good rich, dark coffee that you can order for a long time.

I ordered this coffee because our staff requested a dark roast coffee. In particular,folks wanted something to help motivate and wake them up during early morning meetings because the flavored ones just didn’t seen to have the punch in it needed for those early morning meetings. I bought this because I wanted to try using it for some new frozen and dessert treats (using raw agave and fruit). But the first thing I made after getting it a couple days ago is hot cocoa, and it was marvelous. When I opened the reclosable pouch, the scent was heavenly. It mixes beautifully (no floating gobs). Tastes richly chocolatey. I also made an organic chocolate dipping sauce with some organic virgin coconut oil. YUM!

Now that I have two pouches of this lovely, fine powder, I am eager to try it in recipes (including smoothies, shakes, raw pies and frozen treats that I’ve gotten used to from a delivery service here in Miami).

I have a subscription to this product because it’s so good, and you can’t beat the price. The powder easily mixes into anything. It has a full, rich flavor with no additives or fillers and it’s raw. My favorite way to use it is to mix it into coconut oil and agave, with a little extract like peppermint, orange, or lemon. It makes a lovely chocolate sauce that hardens on contact when it touches something frozen. I add the sauce to banana icecream, which is made from frozen bananas which I run through my juicer machine with the blank plate to make raw soft serve. It’s a wonderful, raw healthy treat that I sometimes have in place of a meal. Go ahead and subscribe and get Amazon prime. It’s totally worth it for this cacao powder.
