I can’t eat wheat, and it’s hard to find cookies and baked goods that don’t taste like cardboard, or worse. These chocolate chunk cookies are so good, even my kids beg for them. There are lots of large, chocolate chunks, and just enough cookie to hold them together. They’re gluten free, so whether you have a wheat allergy or a gluten sensitivity, these work. I’ve tried every brand of wheat-free cookie, and these are by far the best.

Having imported chocolate chip gluten free cookies from as far away as Canada and across the United States it is a joy to find Pamela’s gluten free chocolate chip cookies! Unlike the overbaked, dry and sad offerings of other retailers, these are soft, delicious and completely edible! Our family LOVES them and I am forced to hide them or whole boxes will literally disappear overnight (my dear husband “the midnite muncher”) isn’t on a GF diet but loves these cookies anyway! I was recently told by my doctor that I needed to begin a gluten free diet. I love cookies & was SO upset! I found these lemon shortbreads & fell in love! I like to put them in my freezer & eat them cold. My favorite thing to do is have a cup of English Breakfast Tea & these cookies in the afternoon. Now that it is summer I have switched the tea for pink lemonade. I definitely recommend these delicious cookies!

A strong, not too sweet, lemony taste in a cookie that is resistant to crumbling yet is not hard. It melts in your mouth. Very filling – one cookie is sufficient to satisfy my cravings, unlike Pamela’s Chocolate Chunk Pecan Shortbread (my absolute favorite!) which demand another one or two.

I am a recently diagnosed Celiac trying to navigate the world of gluten-free. I bought one pack of Pamela’s Pecan Shortbread and one of Peanut Butter to try. BINGO!
The peanut butter cookies are good, but too chewy for my taste. My husband suggested a few minutes in the over. 350 degrees for five minutes made them wonderful! REAL peanut butter w/ molasses flavor in a nice crunchy cooky.
The pecan shortbread are simply fabulous!! I think because of the texture, some were crumbled, but I’ll do crumbled any day for a cooky this good. My husband, who loves Oreos told me to put these away and keep them for myself because the cost is, of course higher than ordinary cookies. He agreed that these taste better than any other shortbread cookie either of us has ever had.

These cookies are just delicious! Even my friends who don’t have to eat wheat-free or gluten-free love them! They’re so chewy and tasty and filling – they really meet the need for a wheat-free, nutritious treat. I recommend them!

This gourmet cookie could be served as a dessert at a 5-star restaurant. The combination of ginger and molassas is unique, the texture is soft, and it is incredibly good with coffee or tea. The cookie is not overly sweet (which I love). Pamela, you are my new best friend. I found these by accident in Virginia while visiting my Dad. I went to the local supermarket in search of some healthy food and, to my dismay, they had a health food section and a gluten-free food section. After I tasted the cookie, I immediately looked on the box to see where they were made. To my great relief and happiness, they were from California (where I live). When I found that Amazon carried them, I was downright gleeful and ordered a dozen boxes as a Christmas present to myself. My husband said, “Whatever are you going to do with all these cookies?” Now they are his favorite snack, so (WARNING!!!) they can be contagious.

These will satisfy the craving for gingerbread. When you bite into them, you’ll immediately know you’re in for a treat. The eating experience alone hits the reward center of the brain. Soft, dense and chewy describe the cookie’s character. The rich flavor of molasses provides depth to the tasting experience. Shredded Ginger gives the cookie a distinct texture and kick to the palate. One cookie can satisfy the worst craving for carbs. All the Pamela cookies are delicious, but this one could be a dessert all on its own.

I ordered the Pecan Shortbread and the Chocolate Walnut cookies in July 2006. They were shipped in the same box. The Chocolate Walnut cookies arrived in perfect condition, but the Pecan Shortbread cookies were all broken up into little pieces, in all of the 6 individual boxes inside the case pack. I tried to return them online through my account login, but it says this item is not eligible for return. So I’ll be phoning Amazon on Monday to figure out how to remedy this.

Regarding the cookies themselves, I love the Pecan Shortbread cookies, and I’ve been buying them locally for about 4 years. I like them better when they’re kept in the fridge, it just gives them a better crunch for my tastes. If you need to avoid gluten, these are a winner. I just hope the warehouse people stop giving these things the drop test…

This is a review for the PECAN SHORTBREAD cookies. They are GREAT (the best gluten-free cookies out there in my opinion), but when they arrived from Amazon they were all broken into pieces. They still taste great–they just don’t look too pretty. I give the cookies a 5 but the shipping a 1. Better to pay more and buy them in the store if you want them to still be considered “cookies” (rather than crumbs) when you open the package.

When I see “gluten-free”, I often expect something dense and relatively tasteless. Not these! They’re crumbly, irresistible, melt-in-your-mouth good. I bought them for the person with wheat allergies, but she almost didn’t get any because everyone else grabbed them first. This is how shortbread SHOULD be made!
