We have used this product for years and drink it almost exclusively. When our local stores quit carrying it, we were fortunate to find it here. I like my tea strong, and to taste like tea. I drink unsweetened tea when I’m super thirsty, but if I mix tea for work, or drinking at home in my recliner, I use the following blend:
1 Gallon size Lipton iced tea bag, (Luzianne works too.)
2 quarts water (I have a 3 quart tea maker.)
1 cup of this mix.
Lots of ice.
Strong, sweet, dark, and cold.
This is the best combination I’ve found for sweet, strong, dark iced tea.
Warning: This will stain your teeth and give you kidney stones if you drink more than a gallon a day, for an extended period of time.

Also, this mix is good, but you can get it for less than 1/2 the price at Sam’s club, if you can pick it up locally. I have it shipped to me when I run out of mix, since the nearest sam’s club is quite a drive for me.
The mango flavor isn’t bad, either.

Lipton loose leaf tea beats any other tea I’ve tried, hands down. When the local groceries stopped stocking Lipton’s Loose Leaf Tea. I assumed Lipton had stopped selling it because tea bags were more profitable, and people found it easier to use tea bags. WRONG, we’ve been sold on the idea of convenience, and taste took the back seat. This tea is packaged in a foil lined package, is fresher tasting and very consistant in quailty. Make it sweet or unsweet, it does not matter. If you make it too strong, just add water, the flavor is there! You will be amazed as to how many GALLONS of tea you can make with one box. You will need to brew it a few times to figure out your formula. It’s worth the time! I live in an area that has very soft water, so I don’t need as much product to brew a gallon. It definitely takes more if you have hard water.
This is how I brew mine (this may help you get started). Using a Mr. Coffee,(12 cup) Measure 3 Tablespoons (slightly rounded) and place in the filter (just as you would coffee) Fill you crafte to the max, and brew. For sweet tea, I use One and 1/4 cup sugar per gallon. It’s easier to put the sugar in a gallon pitcher, then add the hot liquid. The sugar will dissolve completely, and you won’t need as much sugar. When the sugar has dissolved, add water or ice to bring it up to a gallon. If you are not pleased with the outcome try making some adjustments. Once you figure it out. It becomes routine, and is probably one of the the most economial drinks you can make!

I really love my Keurig brewer but after my third purchase of highly priced tea and coffee K-cups I knew I needed a more cost efficient solution. I purchased a My K-cup for the unit which allowed me to use regular canned coffee but what was I going to do about the tea? I tried opening tea bags and using that tea but it was weak and flat. Next I tried using this tea and it worked perfect (but a word of caution…remove the tea leaves from the filter while moist to make removal easier). No more brewing an entire teapot for just a quick morning cup and no waiting for tea bags to brew and it tastes great!!! Not weak and off taste but perfect. My tea consumption has increased to the point that I now use the Amazon auto ship to receive 6 boxes at a time so that I never run out. If you have a Keurig and love tea this product is the perfect solution…you won’t be disappointed.

This tea is really good- just the aroma- without even brewing it is wonderful. The taste, when you do brew it, is even better. This tea is not a bunch of ground up leaves that are like dust- you get nice tea leaves and flowers. One word of warning- steeping the tea too long will result in a less jasmine taste as it will start to get bitter. This tea is so good and doesn’t need any added milk or sweetener. I love it so much that I use it every day and have signed up for the subscribe and save program so I will always have it. Plus, it is less expensive than at the grocery store and saves me gas money and I don’t run out.

This is a delious tea rarely avaiable in local stores especially in loose form. I was a little leary of buying six tins but they make nice gifts and I will enjoy savoring the tea all year.

Ceylon is always much more enjoyable in the mornings than English or other so-called Breakfast teas. It has much more taste and flavor. Out of Ceylon teas, I particularly enjoy Twinings Ceylon Orange Pekoe. It has nice big leaves and great golden color. Before I was buying this tea at grocery stores, but after discovering this combo, this will be my regular buy.

I saw one website* where they listed 3 teas that were especially well suited for brewing with a vacuum coffee maker (siphon).

1Cheap: Broken Orange Pekoe generics.

2Middle: any puerh tea.

3Expensive: “fo shou hei cha”, fo shou=Bhudda’s palm, hei= dark, cha= tea). I believe this is also called bergamont oolong which sells on Ebay by gingko_bay and at tea springs dot com.

This is probably the best tea I have had and this brand is always a winner. So far I am still perfecting my taste with this particular tea but while I am experimenting looking for my perfect taste I have found it to be great weak or strong. Depending on my mood I like strong tea sometimes but not bitter which can be a problem for tea whether to much or to little is used. My advice would be perfect before you rate because you may just be making it wrong since I usually let my tea set longer than what is recommended to get my taste and my taste is different than anyone in my family. They usually claim it is too strong with how much I use but for me it is perfect. This is a pack of six so make sure you will like this kind before purchasing.

Loos tea is the only way to go. Twinnings has been consistantly excellent tea. I’ve been using Twinnings almost exclusively at home since my first trip to London over 30 years ago. Their Darjeeling is most excellent. You won’t be disappointed.

Irish Breakfast is a traditional black tea blend known for its assertiveness and malty flavor. It’s a wonderful tea – i prefer it with a touch of milk, but it’s not overpowering when drunk black. The Twinnings loose leaf is FAR superior to the bags. Those are made with “tea dust” and end up bitter and unbalanced. Do yourself a favor and always order the loose variety of Twinnings teas. There’s an amazing difference. Great deal on amazon – i can’t find the Irish Breakfast in my town and other Twinnings varities average about $6 retail. At around $3.50/tin, you get a great tea at a good price.

This is my favorite black tea. Personal taste in food and beverage is so subjective that it is hard to recommend it to everyone but I believe this tea is the ultimate in full-bodied flavor. I like the loose tea because I can make it stronger or weaker as needed. I also use the teabags when I don’t have time to make a pot and they are good also but there is just something special about making a pot of tea the old-fashioned way. They recommend using 1 tsp of tea per person and 1 tsp for the pot. This comes out a bit weak for my taste so I use a rounded teaspoon per person and 1 for the pot and let it diffuse for five minutes and it is perfect for my taste. I always preheat the teakettle and mugs with a little hot water.

This has been my favorite tea for more than a decade but I can’t find it locally. I had been ordering directly from Twining but placed this order with Amazon because of the free shipping for orders over $25.00 which saves me at least $1.00 per tin. Saving a buck is always exciting to one of Scots descent and since I drink a pot every day, it can add up over time.

The price on this product was just right. After searching (and failing) to find ANY loose Gunpowder Green Tea at any of my local grocery stores, I resorted to Amazon, and Twinings came through. The tea is very fresh and comes separately packaged in 6 tins. Although I personally would prefer a larger single tin (I’m already through tin 1 of the set), this does ensure freshness for the rest of the tea.

Twinings was founded in London, England in 1706, and has a long and respected tradition of producing only the finest of teas. Now, one of the most popular of black teas is Earl Grey, which is a mixture of black tea and oil of bergamot (a small acidic orange). But, some people find Earl Grey a little overpowering. For them, Twinings has come up with a gentler blend named Lady Grey. Lady Grey is a blend of all oriental black teas, Seville orange and lemon peel, and just a hint of Bergamot.

OK, let’s get down to brass tacks – this is a great tea, an excellent tea, produced by a great company, and it just might become my new favorite. It has just about the same wonderful smell as Earl Grey, but its taste is much smoother. Plus, I must say that when iced, Lady Grey makes a delicious and refreshing drink. (As a word of advice, don’t add lemon to this tea, it is already flavored with citrus products, and I have found that lemon will simply overpower them.)

That’s my review. If you want a wonderful smelling and tasting black tea, then Lady Grey is for you. If you want tea from a great tea producer, them Twinings is for you. If you want a nectareous drink, then buy Twinings’ Lady Grey tea!

I enjoy a good cup of tea and my absolute favorite is Earl Grey. Twinings Early Grey is among the best on the market, alongside Rishi loose leaf. A traditional English tea, Earl Grey is a black tea whose principle flavor is from the rind of bergamot oranges. Although there are various accounts of its origin, it is most likely was an Indian recipe (China is also a commonly attributed with creating the recipe) which made its way to England in the early 1800s. Named after Lord Grey, the tea is a flavorful black tea that is best served nearly boiling hot with or without lemon. It is NOT served with cream.

Twinings is one of the oldest conveyors of Earl Grey and still use the same recipe as they have for well over a hundred years (soon to be two-hundred). Their tea is also endorsed by the 6th Earl Grey and his signature appears on their packaging. Not that this means the tea is superior because of any endorsement; in this case the tea speaks for itself.

I prefer loose leaf teas to tea bags. There is something in the process of measuring tea into a cozy and letting it steep that makes the resulting cup of tea that much nicer. There is a reason they have tea ceremonies in most of the world (and although less rigorous, so do the British in their own way). Twinings is the quintessential British Earl Grey, and if you’ve never tried it, you owe it to yourself to do so. Enjoy!
